GRATZ™ Industries are the original manufactures of Joseph Pilates’ apparatus which he designed in the early 20th century. Amazingly, Joseph rigged springs to hospital beds, enabling bedridden patients to exercise against resistance, an innovation that led to his later equipment designs.
Joseph created his apparatus over many years to support his method of body conditioning and also to assist in different needs for his clients. The GRATZ™ apparatus is fundamental to the method and is considered a necessity in the practice of the Pilates method by true Pilates followers.
Incorrect dimensions and measurements of newer designs result in the execution of the exercises being incorrectly and perhaps dangerously performed. This means, Pilates is compromised and you will not feel and gain the intended results.
